Description: Males, in addition to the light blue band in the forewing, have a dark blue area that covers the space between the band and the base of the wing. In the hindwing males have basally, under the cubital vein, a tuft of honey-colored "hairs/' The females lack the dark blue area in the forewing, and have an "eye" near the anal angle in the hindwing.
